When creating, I start with an intention. From there, my work can be fine and calculated, but the next day I may be impulsive, seemingly random and working in a completely different medium. Crystal Clear began as series of small drypoint etchings; eventually the original concepts progressed into a series of large-scale crystalline collagraph prints. Each crystal print mimics nature’s ability to create diverse geometric forms that hold color and maintain the ability to shift between solid and transparent appearance based on their environment.

T-shirt design for Johnson State College’s Green Solutions Club. Do It in the Dark was a competition between the residence halls on campus [JSC] to reduce personal energy use that was almost entirely run by students, with some staff supervision. Basement Medicine article here.
